The latest limited edition G-Shock series based on Japanese culture includes three models inspired by the Shiba Inu hunting dog of Japan, which has a worldwide cult following due its appearance in “doge” memes in the 2010s. The three watches are based on the different colors of the breed and include the black DW-5600SHB-1JR, white DW-6900SHB-7JR, and brown GA-100SHB-5AJR. The dual-molded resin bands have an off-white underside to symbolize the belly of the dog. A Shiba Inu image appears on the faces of the watches and as the speed hand on the GA-100SHB-5AJR. Dog images also appear on the band keepers and stainless steel case backs. The LED backlights of the DW-5600SHB-1JR and DW-6900SHB-7JR display a Shiba Inu face in red.
These models are made in Japan and include exclusive eco-friendly packaging featuring a Shiba Inu art pattern.
